Dangerous Flu Close to Being Pandemic? Or Another Company Hoax?

A group of scientists that are doing a collaborative study with a man named Masato Tashiro from the IVRC are studying a flu that does not apply to humans normally but now. These scientists studied the genetic code of the H7N9 and found out that it is slowly mutating to be dangerous for us humans. This flu was mostly found in the birds of the Shanghai market, originally a flu for only birds it is now a danger for humans. The mutation is a mutation of the protein that allows the influenza to grow efficiently in the upper respiratory of the human body as the temperatures are cooler there and ideal for the flu to grow as it is even lower temperature than in birds. The flu attaches itself to the host and it's cells to replicate and spread rapidly. These upper respiratory places are the nose and throat that the flu gains control. So far 33 people have been infected and 9 have died. Scientists say that normal drugs that are used against flu's like these ( ion channel inhibitors) that isolate the virus don't work and that other drugs like oseltamivir may work.

                                                                           Eternal Life

Year 2075 and new trends are happening, but this is only between rich celebrities. This trend is living for eternity and never aging. The rest of the population doesn’t know about this, but some are suspicious to why the well known celebrities are looking better than ever and why they always look the same. This has been happening for a short period of time, people started to notice only 1 year back when someone questioned the age of a certain celebrity and how they looked a few years before. But today everyone is going to find out what is really happening today.

Year 2070,

(beep, beep, beep) “Wake up J305”- Clock. Hello my name is just like the clock said, “J305”. I am 22 years old and I don’t remember my childhood because of a plague in the outer world that kills brain cells. I live on an island with thousands of people. I have never seen the island that we are on because we are not allowed outside because the plague is airborn. We all have bracelets and each bracelet gives info to the officials in the building. But I will get back to that later. I make my way to the eating hall and I get to the food counter. “Hello J305, let’s see what you can have today to eat”. There is a wide selection from bacon to salads and yoghurts. “J305 you can only have this yoghurt and bread with water”. “Why?”, “Your profile sais you need a balanced diet”. “But the last time I had something un-healthy was 2 months ago…”. “Sorry J305 the rules have to be followed, now please move on”. Life in this facility is boring; everyday is the same… food, exercise and sleep. But there is hope, every week a person is chosen to go to a contamination free island that is on the outside. But I feel like I will never get chosen. Anyways every day I meet up with my good friend, named Jim. His name is odd, just like all of the officials. And another exciting thing… he has seen the outside. He is always hesitant to say how it looks and he always tells me that I don’t want to see the outside. But today was different, I analyzed where he works, it happens to be out of bounds for me. But today I am going to explore. As I go higher and farther into the out of bounds I see and thing, I can’t explain it. It has shapes like wings, they taught us all the animals that died in the plague, this looks like a butterfly. As I go deeper I see light and then out of nowhere, JIM. He says, “What are you doing here?”.  I said that I was curious; he said that I am not supposed to feel curiosity. Just as he said that an alarm goes off, (breached) it rang. “Everybody is looking for you”, said Jim. “Come with me”, he said. He rushed me upwards and into places I’ve never seen. We got outside and I was overwhelmed. I saw a sun, hills, and sand for miles out. This didn’t look like an island and he drove me to his house in the middle of nowhere. I wanted answers and he agreed. “What is this? Why is there no plague and island? Why was I underground in that facility?” Jim hesitated, “You… are a double of a celebrity in the world.” “I don’t understand.” Jim again tried to explain, “People took their genes and paid a company to double themselves so they can have healthy lives, you will be killed for a certain organ when your owner needs one.” I was upset, I felt fake, my life felt mythical. “This is not right… we need to get those people out.” “But how” Jim questioned. “They won’t just let you march in there and take all the merchandise, after all one clone is tens of millions, and how will you explain to those clones?” “Ok then, maybe I should go to my owner and explain! Who’s my owner?” “ He is a famous football player” Jim explained.

*breaking news*

Reporter, “Thousands of celebrities were found roaming the streets, ranging from models and movie stars no one knew why they were walking cluelessly at a town close to Death Valley.”

Few hours later*

Reporter, “ Even more shocking news, there were doubles seen of some celebrities, and some explain that a company clones you for an amount of money. Is this the next biggest scandal?”

Cesium found in Japans Fish

Nearly 18 Months after the Fukushima leak and there are still problems with many things. Including Japans fishing industry. The Japanese government has taken a precaution to stop fish with high levels of cesium into the market. But what is cesium? Highly reactive, soft, metallic element of the alkali metal group, used chiefly in photoelectric cells. Symbol:  Cs; atomic weight:  132.905; atomic number:  55; specific gravity:  1.9 at 20°C; melts at 28.5°C. (dictionary.com). Scientists think that there is still an undetected leak somewhere. But is is something we should worry about? The are said to have 250 times the limit for cesium. But is it really toxic? Cesium-137 is one of the most mild kinds of radiation. Comparing to radioiodine which 10% is lost through urine ans sweat, but the other 90% stays in the body for 50-150 days. But still certain doses can cause cancer, and really high doses can be lethal. So thats why the government is trying to make a wall that reaches 100 feet underground and is set to finish in mid 2014. But will that be soon enough?

The glue and water together made a liquid state, but when I added the boron, the liquid turned into a goey solid.

Last day we had a very interesting lab. It was about chemical polarity. We already learned about it on paper, but it was time to see the real effects in the world. But before I tell you what we did, I need to tell you what chemical polarity is.In chemistry, polarity refers to a separation of electric charge leading to a molecule having an electric dipole. ....

 So the lab we did only needed a paper, a pen and water. The experiment was made to show how ink with different chemicals reacts to water. The ink will go up and away from the water or the water will not rise.  To do this lab, take a paper and put a dot of ink in the middle of the paper. Put the paper in the water and watch the ink move or not.

with my last post I gave you the coldest cold can get (absolute zero). But now Im going to tell you the hottest thing ever(or attempt to). So earth we have hot things for humans, like 100celsius for us would be considered hot. Then you have lava at around 1000 celsius, would according to us be extremely hot. Ok so you are probably shouting at your screen to how stupid I am, because we have the sun, which has 5000 Celsius at the surface, but according to Vsauce(Video at the bottom to watch) the sun is 15 million Kelvin. But the sun cant be the hottest right? Yep, your right. We humans actually hit 350 million Kelvin in a thermo nuclear explosion, even though it was for a very very short period of time. But thats not where hot stops, when a star collapses(8 times our star) on the last day according to vsauce the star will reach 3 BILLION KELVIN in the center. Wow, I know right? But the scary thin is that is not even close to the hottest hot can get. At 798 kelvin plasma is made, because the electrons float away. But at 1 Tera Kelvin the nuclei melt. Still not hot enough? The human race shows how curious we are, scientists smashed particles to get 1 EXA KELVIN or 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 Kelvin. Ok this is getting weird, we still haven't reached the hottest. But at 141 to the 32 power of kelvin or 141,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 kelvin
it would reach a wave lenth of 1616 to the -26 power nano metres, it would reach the smallest distance ever. Meaning it would no get any hotter, but what if you added more heat? Wouldn't it just get shorter. The answer is no, but if you add more heat the "thing" would not be considered temperature anymore . 141,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 Kelvin called a PLANCK temp. So if you add more heat to that it is called a Kugebltiz, that starts a black hole from temperature .

Higgs, what is it?(God Particle)

Higgs Boson particle was thought of in 1964 by a man named Peter Higgs with other scientists of that time. The god particle is thought to be in everything that has to do with gravity and magnetism. Most humans identify gravity and magnetism as a "thing" that just happens, or a mysterious energy. But in 1964 Peter Higgs thought otherwise, he went on a quest to find a particle of a gravity or magnet. Some say that it is impossible to see it with today's technology nor replicate it. The misleading name has also led people to think that Higgs found a particle connected to God, but that is just plain silly. Just a few months ago scientists tried to replicate a Higgs Boson by smashing other particles together, they think they made the Higgs Boson but just for a little time after the impact. This test was done underground in a 8km long tunnel. The machine uses massive amounts of energy to take particles and smash them together.
Still to this day the Higgs Boson baffles scientists.
