density test

On Friday we did an experiment with hot water, cold water, room temp water and food colorants.
The test was too see which water is denser, and if the food colorants diffused faster that water would be less dense.

Hot water:In the hot water the food colorant diffused the fastest because, the particles were expanded and there were less particles in side because the energy made them heat up and expand.

Cold water:The food colorant did not diffuse the fastest here but the slowest. That happened because the particles have no energy and got cold so they were close to a solid. So we know that liquid does not go through solid, and thats why the colorant did not diffuse the fastest here.

Room temp water:In this it was between hot and cold,it diffused faster than cold and slower than hot.

Kinetic energy causes heat
